The McGuinness McDermott Foundation was launched in May 1996 in memory of two young boys that lost their battles with cancer; Nicholas Berry and Nathan MacLean.
The McGuinness McDermott Foundation aids all children living with cancer in South Australia, and we work on a project by project basis within the Women's & Children's Hospital, improving or creating new facilities for these children and their families.
To date we have raised over $5m and completed 10 major projects in the WCH including projects such as:-
A New wing to Ronald McDonald Clinic
A new state-of-the-art Cancer Ward
XRay equipment
MRI machine
Endoscopic Theatre Suite (May 05)
These projects have positively changed the lives of these special children and we will continue to support the improvement of care for children with Cancer in South Australia.
