"Barkuma believes active inclusion of all people strengthens our community and expands individual capacities and opportunities."

Established in 1967, Barkuma Incorporated is a registered charity that provides valuable services to people with an intellectual disability.

Barkuma Industries provides meaningful work options for individuals in the field of furniture manufacturing, packaging, assembly and other contract work. The quality range of office, occasional and bedroom furniture produced at Elizabeth is available through both retailers across Adelaide and at our factory outlets at Campbelltown and Elizabeth.

Personnel Employment offers an open employment service to people who want to work in the community in varied areas, ranging from retail, hospitality, horticulture, automotive, aged care, manufacturing and administration. The service has been assessed in 2002 as the best performing agency of its type in Australia and has been ranked in the top five agencies over the past 10 years.

Disability Training Australia is Barkuma's Registered Training Organisation and provides quality accredited training and specialist support for people with intellectual disabilities and the staff who support them. Job seekers of the service have access to accredited pre-employment programs to gain the skill and confidence to find and secure a job that they value.

Barkuma's Client Services team offers personalised support involving counselling, advocacy and support to address personal issues.

Barkuma Community support provides services that aim to develop and maintain life skills, increase confidence and independence at home and within the community. Skills include budgeting, food preparation, travelling, communication, social skills, relationships, as well as personal and home safety.

Barkuma's services and programs are made possible by the generous support of South Australian organisations and individuals.

If you would like to support Barkuma by making a tax deductible donation, becoming a member or participating in any of our fundraising activities then please don't hesitate to call us on (08) 8414 7100 or email barkuma@barkuma.com.au.
