The epilepsy centre was formed by a group of concerned parents in May 1976 to provide support and information to all people affected by epilepsy.
Over the years the epilepsy Centre has become a professional organisation committed to providing quality services to people living with epilepsy and improving community awareness and attitudes throughout South Australia and the Northern Territory.
Our Client Services Team provide: Counselling
Advocacy
Care Planning
Seizure First Aid
Update training in use of emergency medications
Support with quality use of medicines
Epilepsy education to individuals, families and organisations
Epilepsy resource material such as books, DVD/s Videos and pamphlets
Other services include Childrens Camps
Carers Retreats
Support Groups
The Epilepsy Centre will endeavor to assist people with epilepsy and their families / carers to the best of its resources and as part of our commitment to enhancing the quality of life for people living with epilepsy, will from time to time, refer clients on to services of other appropriate community organisations if the need arises.
The Epilepsy Centre raises all of its own funds to provide these services.
