For 50 years Surf Life Saving South Australia (SLSSA) has provided a free volunteer surf rescue patrol service to the community. Surf Life Saving is the leading open water safety organisation with rescue, Education and Prevention being the three core principals that programs and services are based on. SLSSA is made up of over 5000 male and female volunteers aged between 7 and 70. With 19 clubs in its association our volunteers log over 50'000 patrol hours and performed over 865 rescues last summer.
